In part 1 of this 2 part series we talked about the commonly seen issue of yeast flares in spring time. In this second part we will talk more about ways to combat it if it does happen. You can address the allergies themselves in a couple of different ways. You can use various supplements to help control allergies in your child. Vitamin C, stinging nettles, bromelain, N-acetyl cysteine and quercetin are all very helpful for allergies. You can find a product called A and I from New Beginnings which helps control inflammation and allergies. This can be found right on their website where you can order and find out dosing recommendations as well. A and I formula can be used as a maintenance product and also when you have an acute allergy attack as well. And if you del
But if yeast overgrowth is occurring then you can address that in ways that we know are effective. One way is to use prescription medication from your doctor such as Lamisil, Nizoral, Diflucan, Nystatin, etc. Natural remedies can also be very effective against yeast and can provide you with another option. Again, New Beginnings has various supplements that are effective against yeast. One good option from them is called the yeast control formula. The formula has 4 different herbal remedies and you give between 5 to 10 drops of one remedy for 5 days in a row, then you move to the next remedy until you have gone through them all. Grapefruit seed extract is another powerful natural remedy, you can dose this 5 to 8 drops twice or three times a day to treat yeast. You can also turn to enzymes to help, Candex is an option, it helps to break down the cell wall of the yeast. I see very favorable response from the yeast control pack and grapefruit seed extract from New Beginnings.
But if you are still seeing allergies even with the supplements then sometimes a short course of allergy medication is in order. You can use over the counter Claritin or you can talk to your pediatrician or family doctor about Singular as a prescription to help control allergies. And all it may even take is just a short period like 4 to 6 weeks to get through the worst part of spring in terms of allergies. So again, spring can mean yeast regression and behaviors, I have seen it many times in the past and am already seeing it again this year so it is something to consider.
